PalmSurv is a language survey tool for the Palm operating system.  It allows linguists to enter phonetic data directly into a handheld computer.  While still in the field, the linguists can browse their collected data, share it via infrared beaming between handhelds, and back up their work using removable memory cards.  Back in the office, PalmSurv's data can be transferred electronically to a desktop computer.  The PalmSurv Converter, an accompanying desktop application, makes PalmSurv data easily available to WordSurv and other survey-related software.
